What We Believe

  • God

We believe there is only one true God who exists eternally in three distinct personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the creator, sustainer, and ruler of the universe.

    Matthew 28:19; John 14:6, 26, Genesis 1

  • God the Father

We believe in God the Father who is perfect in both love and holiness. He is the creator of the heavens and the earth, and He continues to uphold and watch over His creation. His love for us is so great that He reached out to save us from our sinfulness through the gift of His only Son, Jesus.

    Isaiah 42:5; John 3:16; Romans 5:8

  • God the Son - Jesus

We believe in Jesus Christ who is our Savior and Lord. He is the Son of God who became man to rescue us from the curse of sin and death. He was born of a virgin birth, lived a sinless life, and voluntarily died on the Cross to pay the penalty for our sins and to restore us to righteousness and relationship with God (Father, Son and Spirit), a feat we could never achieve ourselves. God miraculously raised Jesus from the dead, and He ascended into heaven. He will return to earth once more to take His rightful authority and to rule as a fair judge over the living and the dead. Through the work on the Cross, in love, Christ redeems, reconciles and restores individuals, communities and nations.

  • God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who displays the power and presence of God in the world. Through kindness, He convicts people of their sin and makes them aware of their need for the Savior Jesus. He lives in all believers giving them power for holy living, understanding of spiritual truths, guidance for life, and spiritual gifts that can be used to serve God and others. The fruit of the Holy Spirit displays the wonder of God’s nature towards us in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

    Acts 1:8; John 16:7-15; Romans 5:5; 2 Timothy 1:14; Acts 2:4; Hebrews 2:4; Galatians 5:22-23

  • Salvation

We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that God created us to exist forever in relationship with Himself, but that through sin we have been separated from this relationship which can be restored through Jesus. This gift of salvation is by God’s grace and only can be received by faith, apart from our good works. Salvation includes the forgiveness of our sins, the replacement of our shame with the righteousness of Jesus, and the gift of eternal life. Those who accept this gift of salvation are miraculously born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God who can enjoy personal relationship with Him. These born-again believers are filled with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit to honor God and to discover their true identity and destiny.

  • The Church

We believe in the church as a universal community of all believers who function as the living, spiritual body of Jesus here on earth. The church is called to love and unity as the family of God and has been commissioned by God to share His message of salvation (the good news or “gospel” of Jesus Christ) and to equip His people to disciple the nations. Every believer possesses spiritual authority through Jesus and is called by God to carry out this “Great Commission” within their individual sphere of influence.

  • Biblical Authority

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and that God speaks by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Scriptures. Therefore, we hold the Bible as the final authority and the ultimate foundation for our lives.

    2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17

  • The Family

We believe in the family following God’s original design as found in scripture. We believe that marriage is the exclusive loving union between one genetic male and one genetic female and sexual intimacy is only to be enjoyed within the marriage relationship. Marriage is a reflection of the purity, intimacy and joy found in God’s relationship with His Bride, the Church, and therefore, the sanctity of marriage holds great importance. Additionally, family is the foundational unit of relationship for all people and should provide a healthy and safe environment for every family member and be the place of godly instruction and discipline for children.

  • Transformation

We believe the message of the gospel and the working of the Holy Spirit bring about lasting and positive transformation to individuals, families and relationships, and society as a whole. As the Kingdom of God is displayed throughout the world, the culture of heaven is released with divine solutions for our earthly needs. God encourages us to share the values of His Kingdom as His ambassadors to bring blessing and transformation to the world around us, starting with our own lives and families and extending to our spheres of influence.
